960 Evo or wait?

Hey everyone!

I currently have an 850 Evo 500GB and it's at capacity. I've been looking at upgrading for a while, but waiting to see what Samsung will release next.

Anyone have any thoughts on what I should do? Buy a 960 Evo 1TB now or wait for Samsung's next M.2 SSD?

Yes the 960 is a great SSD and also a good value. However if you do not need the extra transfer speed for video editing, you can save some money by buying a conventional SATA SSD for 2/3 of the price like the Crucial MX500 1TB or a 1TB 850 evo.

I want an NVME SSD and I need the storage space. I have two M.2 slots on the motherboard. ASUS Z370-E.

960 Evo seems to be one of the best value right now. I just don't know if I should wait or upgrade now.
