Ok So i have 2 Lenovo Laptops Sitting beside me as i type this, both bought around same time of the year, both VERY VERY similar Specs, 1 is got Intel i5-6200u and other has AMD A6-6310 APU. Both have intergrated graphics, 1 intel Graphics 520 other AMD Radeon R4 Graphics, now i have looked at both of there RAM sticks in task manager and it says BOTH are DDR3 and both are made by same company, "SODIMM" Both Computers have multiple ram slots but the 2nd computer one with AMD CPU has a broken wifi card thart eats all the wifi bandwidth and is much slower then the intel one, my question is, is it ok to put the RAM from the AMD laptop into the Intel one since made same company and enogh slots it reckons and that it is DDr3 only difference is that the AMD one is speed of 800mhz and intel one is 1600mhz. THanks for your help guys, and if you need to kkknow full details of the sticks let me know how to find them and i will send them through, really need to know because i might buy more ram but want to see if this is eligible. Thanks again,

Paul

It shouldnt be a problem, and its easy to do so give it a try. If your laptop will crash than it means that theyre not compatible

Few Questions before i attempt it, what will the crash look like so i know it crashed, what will be different or will it boot as normal just with extra ram, like i don't know what to expect by doing this and if it is incompatible what are the signs? IM very nervous to do this because i don't want to break this laptop, the other one, its kind of screwed already, so i don't mind so much that but i just need to know step by step what will happen and if it will boot differently and if i should be expecting anything by doing this. Thanks

Ok. So if you add in new RAM the boot is the same as usuall. When you will be in Windows and the old and the new ram will not be compatible the blue screen will pop up and the system reboots. You dont need to be worry as its a normal reaction to prevent damage to system and components

SO when the blue screen comes up will it say something to let me know that it is incompatible or is that just gonna come up and like hint to me that it is incompatible? i want to take as much precaution as possible i don't want to mess anything up.
