Core 2 Extreme QX 6850 or Intel Core i5 6400

Hi recently i decided to build a computer by using newer parts like below
Intel i5 6400
Gigabyte B150M D3H (already got this one)
DDR4 8GB

According to the prices on the internet it would cost me like $364 = LKR 56521.74
But then i notice that i could get a Used Core 2 Extreme QX 6850 machine for the same price. And also i will have the same amount of memory size and a good Graphic unit as well. i know Core 2 Extreme QX 6850 means some sort of a old school CPU. There for i never wanted to rollback as i using a Pentium G4400. But then i saw the trading price of the QX 6850 which is about $998 !!!?
Is it worth for that much money? will it over-perform an I5 6400? I know that both CPU have nearly the same specs however the QX 6850 run on an late technology.
Is there any other unique option available on that CPU??

Solution
No, it is worth no where near that price. Old parts have obscenely ridiculous prices retailers hope to get. Your Pentium G4400 is faster than a QX6850. The i5-6400 is about twice as fast as the QX6850.

Even that i5-6400 is overpriced. Since you already have a G4400. Update the BIOS on your motherboard. Then you can get an i5 7400 or 7500 instead.
