I opened up my case to check if it had an 8 pin connected I needed for a new graphics card, and when I closed the case and booted the pc back up, the cpu fan started going crazy and the pc turned off on 30-60 seconds. It does this every time and I don't know what to do.

Specs :
Mobo-GA-970A-D3
Cpu-And Fx 8320
Gpu-nvidia GeForce gtx 1050
Ram-16 GB DDR3

Please help!

Solution
Check all other cables, opening case just can't do such thing that working PC is no longer starting. You had to do something else to cause such effect.

That didnt work, also I accidentally downvoted your answer and I don't now how to undo it, sorry.

I identified the 8 pin connector on the motherboard and disconnected and reconnected it. I booted up and I still have he same problem

I've gone into the computer again. This time I checked all the sata conenctions, I made sure the RAM was seated properly, I disconnected and reconnected all fans and the water cooler, and the 8 pin power in the top left corner of the motherboard. When the computer booted up, the buzzer on the motherboard began beeping non-stop (over 20 times I couldn't count) until I shut it off because I got nervous. I assume this is some code from the motherboard.

Yep, it was the RAM, I've always been bad at seating memory for some reason. It booted up fine so I signed in. It hasn't crapped out just yet, so we'll have to see what happens.
