Hello All,
I've just recently built my own PC with Ryzen 3 2200G, but it seems with everything plugged in correctly (yes I've seen and followed that thread for new pc beginners) I'm getting no display on my monitor. Any clue why? At this point I'm resorting to think that my motherboard's BIOS (Version 0602) may not be updated. Thanks for your help. Motherboard LEDs light up, all fans are spinning, all screws tightened, wires reseated. Nothing on the monitor. Just cycles through DV-I, HDMI and VGA, then goes to sleep. I should at least get into BIOS no? Even with an outdated BIOS like mine?

Specs:
Processor: Ryzen 3 2200G
Motherboard: Asus Prime B350M-K (BIOS version 0602)
PSU: Kolink Core 400 80+
RAM: Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4 2400 and Crucial 4GB DDR4 2400 (I've tried just using one, in both slots, but still no go)
GPU: Gainward GTX 1050
Monitor: Acer KA22 FULL HD LED

Yeah, the problem is that you need a newer BIOS (BIOS version 3203) to support the 2200g on that motherboard. Unfortunately you need a supported CPU installed to update the BIOS. So your best bet is either:

1) Find a friend with a Ryzen CPU that you can borrow to update your BIOS with
2) See if the vendor you purchased the motherboard from will replace the board with an updated one
or
3) See this article and follow the steps to get a BIOS update kit free of charge from AMD: https://hothardware.com/news/amd-offers-boot-kit-to-fix-second-gen-ryzen-apu-boot-issue

EDIT: Pretty much any decent computer shop should be able to update your BIOS for you as well. But I'm sure they'll charge you for it.

Alright, I've actually just submitted a claim for the Boot Kit as they call it which is 'fee of charge'. I've yet to receive an email from them yet with the details. I'll update the thread as soon as I receive some info. Thanks a lot!

Yeah hope so, been wanting to build myself this PC for more than a month. Any idea how long it would take them to ship the kit to germany once it's been approved? hehehe I'm an impatient guy

I don't know. But I did notice that you have an nvidia 1050 graphics card. If it's possible to return the 2200g, you could get a Ryzen 3 1300x for a little more money. The 1300x has very similar CPU performance as the 2200g but no built-in graphics. But since you already have a graphics card all you'd need is the 1300x or the slightly slower 1200. The 1300x and the 1200 is supported by your board's current BIOS. So if it's possible to return the 2200g, you could get a 1300x or 1200 and be up and running without the 'boot kit'. Something to consider anyway...

Yeah I actually initially got a ryzen 1300X with another B350M mobo but it also didn't work so I'm actually still a bit worried that some of my hardware might be faulty, same problem as right now no display on screen, that's why i waited till i got the 2200G so i can be sure the iGPU won't be broken if the CPU itself isn't broken, but apparently problem still persists with new mobs new cpu and one new ram stick so :/.
