I'm currently using a basic 300 Mbps Wireless-N Router from TP Link along with a 2 MB/s plan. So far the speeds have been satisfactory and at times even rise up to 5 MB/s which is like 40 Mbps. This i mostly see while using Google services like Google Drive, Youtube, etc. The speeds i'm getting are decent enough however the reason i wish to upgrade my router is to increase the range of transmission which i believe is better than using a repeater or range extender, so i am thinking why not get a Dual band Wifi router with 3/4 antennas and get Wider range as well as Higher speeds. Something like TP-Link Archer C50 AC1200. But let's say i upgrade the Wifi router for the speed alone and not upgrade the Data Plan, would it be worth it?
