since most games are still not using all the extra threads, going from 6 to 8 cores that are not any faster does little overall for the pc.

the jump from an r9-270 (roughly the same as a 750ti) to a 1060 (roughly a gtx 980 in power) would be a much better jump and net the best results for games. i'd not bother upgrading the 6300 until you can afford to move to newer gen cpu's which of course means a new cpu/mobo and ddr4 ram no matter if you go amd or intel newest gens.

My cpu has little problem it shuts down randomly (no oc) and thats why i want to by the 8350 or should i buy a new 6300 i dont think it would be worth so i think i just buy the 8350....and is it worh to buy 8350 for 111€ (about 136 us dollars)? Or is it too much for it? But thanks c:

random shut downs are a totally different story. could be many things and not just the cpu.

need to know the rest of the pc specs as well as what you are normally doing when it shuts down and anything else that might be relevant to chasing down such a problem.
