Why is COD WW2 using all my vram? (Gtx 1060 6gb)

16gb ram

I had a gtx 1050 ti that would only use the amount of vram available in advanced options menu, it would never max out and gameplay was extremely smooth. Now I switched only my gpu to gtx 1060 6gb. When I start the game and go into multiplayer the vram climbs and climbs until it hits 6 gigs and then will stutter for a bit and then start to drop. It drops to 5.6-5.8 gigs vram then the map will end and the process repeats. I've tried all sorts of different things to try and fix the issue. I do have to say I play bf1 as well and it runs beautifully I must say as I was playing on a i5 2400 not to long ago but that's another story. I've seen that quite a few people have had this issue but can't seem to find the correct fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Well its working the way it should now and I'm not completely sure why. It's no longer maxing my vram and as of right now my gameplay is no longer suffering, it's buttery smooth. I'm not sure if this will work for anyone else but it's worth a try it seemed to h a ve worked for me and the game is operating the way it should.
