Hello, I'm trying to upgrade my system from 8GB RAM to 12GB RAM. Right now I have all 4 of my slots taken with 2GB RAM sticks and I want to, if possible, upgrade two of those sticks to 4GB RAM.

I've been researching RAM and it seems that the best way to upgrade is to get the same brand as the current RAM. Is it possible to use different brands with the ones I am currently using?

My specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 650 @ 3.20GHz
RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard: Gateway H57M01 (CPU 1)
Graphics: DELL E2416H (1920x1080@60Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (EVGA)

Lastly, are there any recommendations for two 4GB RAM sticks that would be compatible with my set up?

Thank you for the taking your time to read this I greatly appreciate the help.

Solution
Brand doesn't matter as long as new RAM is compatible with your MB, If you can't find it's QVL than RAM with same specs should be OK.
From MB specs:

Memory
4 * 240-pin DDR3 DIMM slots Supports Dual Channel DDR3 1333/1066 MHz non-ECC , un-buffered memory (Max 8GB)
