Dual channel on mismatched slots

I've got an Asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard I bought used to replace my old Gigabyte board which was fried. Problem is one of the pins on the Asus board is bent, and for some reason this has disabled two of the four memory slots: B1 (black) and B2 (blue). As a result I can only use slots A1 (black) and A2 (blue), which are different colors. If I turn the PC on with one or two sticks of RAM inserted onto those slots, the DRAM red light will stay on and the PC will not boot, even if I've got another stick inserted onto the non-faulty slots.
According to CPU-Z, my two sticks of 4GB 1333MHz RAM are running on single-channel, which is a problem for my since I work with Autodesk Revit. Is there any way of enabling dual channel between those two mismatched slots?
Thanks

If both sticks work together, then they should work no matter what slots you put them in, so that is certainly not a problem with sticks. Broken pin in CPU slot is very likely to be the cause that two slots don't work at all.
Compatibility issues between RAM and motherboard are rare on Intel chips. Not saying it can't happen with next board you'll get, but that is not very likely.

Could the fact only slots A1 and A2 are working, while B1 and B2 are not, be due to a compatibility issue? Since my RAM sticks are not on the MoBo's QVL... Or the fact my sticks of RAM work on some slots indicate that they in fact work with the chipset, and therefore slots B1 and B2 are surely a motherboard issue? One of the pins on the P8Z77-V Pro was broken off by the previous owner, so I'd guess it's a motherboard issue.
Anyway, I'm asking because I'm going to return the motherboard and purchase a new one. I have to choose between a Z68 and a Z77 board. Ideally I'd go for the Z77, so I could perhaps get an i7 3770k later on, but I've heard that Z77s are pickier with RAM compatibility than Z68s... Is that true? Could all this be a compatibility issue with both my Markvision 1333MHz 4GB ram sticks?
