PC crashing when uses GPU

Recently I've upgraded my system from a gtx 660 to a gtx 1060. Everything went fine for a few weeks, but today the 1060 just refuses to work. When I open a game, heaven benchmark, or start rendering on blender, the whole pc crashes. Mouse and keyboard freeze too.

When I put the gtx 660 back, everything runs smoothly, no crashing.

I still have my warranty on the 1060, but I want to be sure that the problem is in fact the GPU. Is any other possibilities to this kind of system crashing?

My PSU is a Seventeam 620W. When the problem started, I thought the PSU was causing the trouble, but in this case, the 660 should crash too. Besides, if the PSu was the problem, shouldn't it have crashed right after I install the new card?

Thanks for the tip, I'll change the GPU's again and run Whocrashed

When I upgraded to a GTX 1060 6GB from a 760 I had the same issues. The 760 never crashed and the 1060 crashed in games and the Heaven benchmark. I replaced the fairly new generic power supply with a better quality unit and the problems went away. I thought since the 760 seemed to use more power, two 8 pin connectors vs 1, the new card was the issue.

Thanks for the tip mwryder55, unfortunately I don't have another PSU right now to test it, but tomorrow I will.

My old, generic 620W PSU was fine after all. The GPU was defective. Once it was replaced (for another 1060 from the same brand), everything went back to normal.
