Hello! I used the wrong screws (brain f*rt) to put my motherboard in (building the pc currently) and I realized my mistake. I couldn't get the correct flat bottom/head screws from the case to work with the standoffs, so I used some from this spare "computer repair kit" to put the motherboard in. It's in there fine, now. I haven't booted it up or anything. I just wanted to be sure that this was an ok screw to use. It has the baffles on the bottom:

Solution
Technically, you could plow coarse threaded wood screws through the board and right out the backside of the motherboard tray, as long as it held it in place and you didn't damage anything on the motherboard itself. If the motherboard is secure, and flat against the standoffs, it's fine.

Note: Do NOT use wood screws. LOL.

I actually took the baffled screws out and put flat panhead type in. The solder was scuffed underneath the screw (nothing insane) so I just blew it all off with canned air. Hope nothing shorts or messes up : )

It should be fine. I've done worse, by far.

Hardware can be delicate, but it can be remarkably durable and resistant to my stupidity as well, over the years. I doubt very much that you've caused any kind of issue unless you got into the surrounding traces.
