Hello guys

Thanks in advance for the help. I'm kinda new to this gear stuff, usually its turn and play. Thought i should level up my gearing level :D

Anyway, at this moment I'm having an issue with my HDD(making reading noise*probably will die soon* so i wanted to buy good SDD for my computer..

This is my motherboard (MSI B250M PRO-VD): https://www.singular.com.cy/msi-motherboard-intel-1151-msi-b250m-pro-vd-7a74-002r-03.html

It's written: Storage Interfaces SATA-600 -connectors: 6 x 7pin Serial ATA ¦ SATA-600 / PCIe 3.0 -connectors: 1 x M.2

Only 1 PCIe connector?

The plan is to add Samsung MZ-V6E250BW 960EVO250G M.2 SDD. At this point I can only add one, right? Because i was reading the forum and find out that most of the motherboards have at least two.
Thanks!

Solution
Yes, that board only supports one M.2 drive. The M.2 slot on that board supports both PCI and SATA M.2 devices though, so be sure to get a PCI model, which that 960 EVO IS.

And SOME boards, not MOST boards, have dual M.2 slots. It IS becoming more common, especially on Z370 but that is an enthusiast chipset, not a business or mainstream chipset like the B250. Probably some of the Coffee Lake mainstream chipset won't have dual M.2 on all of them either whenever they finally come out.

Not uncommon because there are generally less PCI lanes support on lower end chipsets. That's a good drive and should be pretty fast. Good luck.
