I am trying to get WiFi from my house to my garage. It is 100 feet from the router to where I want to get WiFi. It is window to window with nothing in the way. What should I get to extend my WiFi for hopefully under $100. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I can't really run any cable, unless that is my only option. I would prefer a wireless solution. There are only glass windows between the two points.

If your router has detachable antennas, you could use a directional antenna like the one below and point it at the garage. That should improve the signal strength of the router by up to 10 dBm for devices in the garage. Just use a wifi analyzer app to check your signal strength in the garage - you'd want to have stronger signal than -67 dBm to minimize packet loss. There are higher gain antennas available.

Is there any wifi extender that would work? or should I get the antenna or try to run a wire over?
Thanks

The Tenda Nova system isn't much more than $100, and isn't terrible. It just comes down to the throughput you need in the garage. A range extender would lower throughput by 50% or more unless it uses a different channel than the main router. No extender system would rival a good standalone router for throughput, but might be acceptable when you more or less have line of sight between points in the house and the garage.
