For my Gigabyte boards, I have always used @BIOS from in the Windows environment.

See this video (starts at 4:08) for instructions. You won't need the USB stick. @BIOS downloads the correct BIOS from the Gigabyte website.

The only requirement is that your system is working properly, stable, and your internet connection is sound.

make sure your usb stick is an older 2.0 stick and it plugged into one of the black usb 2.0 ports before you power on. make sure you unzip the new bios files and there on the root folder of a fat 32 formatted usb stick. when you post using end key or go into the bios. the qflash have you select the drive to read from the bios. if the usb stick not showing up but drive c is try placing the bios file on the c drive folder that you can see in the qflash screen. dont use windows updater or you brick your mb.

You won't brick your motherboard. Geeze. I've been using @BIOS for years on dozens of GB boards over and over. Nonsense.
But if you do use the USB stick to update, you may have to format the stick in FAT32 as opposed to NTFS. Used to be that was the only format previous gen boards would recognize.

I would question the reason for the BIOS update. Just because an update exists does not mean you should update. With BIOS, unless it resolves a specific issue you are experiencing, then you do not want to attempt to update the BIOS.
