Let me explain my problem really quickly. Basically I’ve had Comcast as my ISP for months now. I get 40 megabits download speed and I’ve NEVER had lag / ping issues in video games until recently when I decided to install cable ( DishTV Hopper ) in our house. The funny part is that my download speed is still the same as before and the Hopper isn’t connected to the internet since I unplugged the cable. Since the modem is downstairs I use a USB WiFi Adapter and it’s been working great for months. So what is the issue I wonder? I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this all happens right after I get DishTV but it’s not even connected to the internet. Really strange.
I also wanted to note that I mainly play shooter games so I can see the enemy freezing and teleporting so it’s very annoying. Thank you for reading.
Edit : Do you guys think it’s the satelite dish that they installed on top of my house and it’s interfering with my USB WiFi adapter? Nobody should have a problem playing online games with 50 megabits download.
