Hello, everyone !
I need you help in choosing a replacement for my current mechanical keyboard. At this moment I own a Red Dragon Varuna keyboard , with outemu blue switches and it's fantastic regarding the feedback, the RGB options, speed, looks, build quality, macro capability ( all keys are reprogrammable ). However, it does fell short on something, the sound , obviously ; this thing is monstrously loud and yes, I am aware that mechanical keyboards tend to be louder then membrane ones, but this one is way over the roof. I am just an occasional gamer, spending 1-2 hours / day, maybe and a little more in weekends, but most of my gameplay sessions are taking place at midnight, because, you know, job and family .
On one occasion, the neighbor bellow me ( I live in an apartments block) , knocked on my door at 1 in the morning complaining that he cannot sleep due to my keyboard...and honestly, I cannot blame him, this thing is loud ; for now, the only way to tackle it, is to use a standard membrane keyboard after 10:00, so I won't disturb anyone, but really, I miss my mechanical keys a lot; I am also thinking to buy some o-rings, maybe that will cut off some of the sound, but still I doubt it will make a huge difference .
I am also taking into account buying a new mechanical keyboard, but is very hard to decide which one; my priorities are, in order: sound, rgb, macro capabilities. I took note of the Corsair Strafe model with silent switches and I was wondering if it's indeed the best option for me; also, i notice some other keyboards, using mathias , romer-g switches and some claim that they very silent...What do you think about it ?
Thank you in advance !

I went from a Corsair K95 to a Corsair Strafe RGB, and the Strafe was much quieter. It is still louder than membrane, but doesn't 'clack' as harshly as other mechanical keyboards I've used. For context, my study is in a boxroom with the main bedroom right next door and the kids' room the next one over - neither my wife or kids have been disturbed with my typing at night.

Unfortunately, in my country ( Romania ) I cannot find on display most of these models; I cannot find a Corsair strafe, or a Fnatic at all; I can barely find it online, so in the end, my decision will be influenced by other users experience and feedback, rather than my own :)
