Why the older generation? I'd pick the 8400 with something like https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813145048.

I'd go for the CX650. It's the well received 2017 version which is a couple years newer and is of a superior quality.

Next to CPU cooler you have Case fan specs.. A cryorig H7 is a less expensive but still very effective option. It's a bit better than the 212 Evo.

I would opt for a 500GB SSD if at all possible. Your games will thank you. If they aren't that big and you don't keep many installed then 240's a good size. When games are exceeding 50GB 240GB looks sorta small. I know of 2 of my installed games that are over 50GB and there may be more. When I upgrade to an SSD it won't be any smaller than 500GB.

Thank you for your answer. Don't have enough budget honestly. :D That's why i'm going for 7th gen. :)
I'm not sure if the store has CX650, i'm gonna ask them tomorrow. But, if isn't available, is the CX600 still okay for the whole system? Thanks again.

Sad news, they don't have the CXM series. :( Now my choices of psu is the Corsair CX600, Corsair VS650 and SEASONIC S12II-620 80PLUS. Which one should i pick best for my rig? Thanks

If anything I'd opt for the newer CX550 over the old VS models. That can handle anything up to the 1080 with the rest of a high end rig such as 6- HDD/SDD, 16-32GB RAM, +95W CPU, sound card, fan controller, 6 or more case fans etc..

If you are looking at 7th generation Intel due to budget, then in my opinion you might be better off using ryzen, but still keep the 1060 and other pieces you have on there. A ryzen setup is going to be performance wise, very close to that depending on what you select, plus if you get at least a b350 board, you'll have the ability to overclock, and an upgrade path.

Intel has pretty much cut off 7th generation. So you'll need a new board and CPU if you want to upgrade later on, whereas AMD is supposed to support socket am4 until 2020. So theoretically in a year or 2 if you wanted more power you could drop a new chip in the board with a bios update.
