How do I pair a Ryzen 5 APU with Nvidia GPU

as title describe: I bought a Ryzen 5 2400G, but five days after, my GF buys me a Nvidia GTX 1050ti (got it at a insanely good Price!)

But when i try to pair the two, i get a "code 43" in my device manager.

How to I pair them? Do I need to disable the integreated graphic on the BIOS? I read that somewhere.

Thanks!

Solution
Uninstall all drivers using DDU, then install oldest version of our your graphic card (in my case i used 368.81 for my 1060) then delete "nvidia reboot required" from "regedit" then install 380 ish version not newest version without rebooting PC , then you'll be able to use you Nvidia GPU with your new and powerful Ryzen 5 2400 G. Try to disable Vega if still not working.

I have tried both: Installing the APU drivers first, then add the Nvidia Card, installing those drivers. Ive tried the other way around, I have tried removing the APU drivers, and i have ofcourse put a monitor in the graphic Card via HDMI.

^ TJ Hooker's advice is exactly what id say too.

Ensure the monitor is plugged into the 1050ti ,reboot - we will assume you actually have a display via the 1050ti at this point ??

Goto control panel , device manager , right click & disable the vega graphics (maybe unnecessary but will not hurt) - AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A DISPLAY VIA THE 1050ti !

Remove both amd & nvidia graphica drivers.

Restart the pc.

Install only the nvidia drivers.

Its all great advices, but i've tried excactly that: Removed all drivers, HDMI to 1050ti, rebooted, tried to install only Nvidia. the result is the same.

Unfortunately I have the exact same problem. MSI motherboard has no BIOS option to completely disable the Ryzen APU (AMD or MSI problem?) so that both are detected in the device manager and an error code 43 results after using the nvidia installer.

There is a workaround. Reinstall windows with the nVidia card installed, and allow windows update to install the nvidia drivers. As long as you don't download drivers from the nvidia website, it will work. You may be missing some functionality (geforce experience etc.) but hopefully you can find a standalone physx installer and you'll be all right.

Would like to know if someone has a Ryzen APU and an nVidia card with an Asus motherboard, and if there is an option to disable the integrated graphics and solve this issue maybe... anyone? What a pain in the butt!

This problem goes back years (I had a similar problem with the GTX 750 when Windows 10 released) and apparently nVidia doesn't know how to fix it... sigh...

PEG mode is enabled, but there is no PEG only mode in the BIOS, the Ryzen GPU is still showing up in the device manager. I'm pretty sure the problem could be fixed if I could disable the integrated portion of the graphics, but there is no option to do so.

On the BIOS update page of the MSI B350M Bazooka (which is really really similar to the board you have if I am not mistaken) you can read this:

"It must install nvidia graphic driver ver 390.65 or old version when using AMD Raven Ridge CPU and nVidia graphic card.".

I spent a whole night trying to build a pc for a friend (2200g and 1050ti) of mine having the same error you described and the solution was exactly what they say there (they only updated the page with that note after I updated the BIOS and had built the system).

And no, you can't disable IGP, I have to send an email to MSI so they can do a BIOS update that fixes this, if possible.

Post this wherever you feel so we can help people with this problem so they dont waste their time like we did.

Exactly! I just spent the last few days building this rig for a friend, and was stepping through the different drivers since I knew the windows update ones worked. I just came here to post that 390.65 works! Download that one then don't update!!!
