My new corsair rm750x has coil whine while i play games. I can't hear it unless i stick my head right next to it. Can this indicate a foulty psu and can it damage some other components?
Out of curiosity, do you play games with V-Sync off? If you turn it on, it may reduce your GPU loading, which will drop the power needs of the card and possibly eliminate the coil whine. The whine may actually be coming from the VRM's on your graphics card. I've had cards do this before when pushing 200+ fps.

I play whit v-sync off, but im sure that the whine comes from the PSU. The gpu also has coil whine, but thats another problem.
