Hello i built my new pc 1 month ago and 1 week ago i purchased new gt 1030. When the gpu arrived, I installed it and i received no signal. Tried everything and nothing. I was thinking about BIOS update (my mb is asrock h110 hdv r3.0), but i was scared to do it. My only option was to return the gpu to receive a new one. My local store told me that the gpu is working and i'll receive it tomorrow. Also i did BIOS update after i returned the pgu. Can someone tell me why the first time the gpu was not working (no signal). Could it be from the BIOS Update ? I know that this can happen if the mobo is really old, but this is a new mobo h100 series. I really don't know. Please someone tell me because i'm gonna blow my head. Also my PSU is Corsair VS450.

No disrespect intended, but it makes the most sense to start from the basics.

Not calling you a "noob"..... but there's plenty of posts on this forum with people who "built a PC" yet didn't catch some of the most basic stuff (CPU EPS power, plugging into onboard, not GPU etc).

The time to post though, would've been when you had the 'non-working' 1030 and the old BIOS so we could attempt troubleshooting.
As you've upgraded the BIOS and exchanged the GPU.... anything we come up with now would be pure guesswork with no way to validate.

If the graphics card is not working i need to return the whole pc :( Let's hope the BIOS update fixed something, but i dont have high hopes because the mobo is new not from 8 years ago

PS: I dont think that it's PCIe problem because the fan was spinning.

Not trying to, everyone can make mistakes or overlook something, some can be very simple. My last noob moment was building a system that didn't turn on so I spent 30 mins troubleshooting then found out I didn't turn the switch on the PSU, had that "DOH!" moment.

So back on topic, how was it connected to the monitor? (VGA/HDMI/DVI/DP?)

HDMI, the gpu have DVI-D but i dont have a monitor which is with DVI-D. The cable is working fine and the monitor is also fine (because i know that could be a problem)

It's HDMI to HDMI. No problem here. Im using this monitor connected to igpu hd 630 with HDMI.
