At the time of buying my bitfenix aurora, I didn't realize the inside was black. It doesn't go with my color scheme and I want to know if it would be a bad idea to spray paint the inside of the case white (with of course all components removed).

What you're referring to is known in the pc building community as well as other circles as modding the case, to fit your taste and palate. Go ahead, why would you need a second opinion? Modding will only happen when it comes from you and only you. If you're asking around for what steps to take? I personally like to disassemble the entire case and remove the parts I want to paint, hang them up and in a nice well ventilated area with a gas mask(after sanding every component I want to paint down with 600 grit paper, wet sanding) and go at them in nice even strokes.

You could have a build log of sorts in case you want the community to back you on your project...? :)

I've spray painted cases before. It's best to disassemble the case as much as possible and using masking tape+paper(news paper is fine) or card board to block off any areas you do not want the paint to get to. Don't spray in one spot too long or it'll cause a "bubble", which will eventually run. You're going to have to do several coats as well.
