Hi All,
I need some help / suggestion for my new build. I was planning to stay under €1100, but unfortunately so far it will cost me €1050 so there is no room for GFX and this will come later. Anyway, I will use this build for gaming, programming and graphic editing. I don't know much about overclocking but I think I'll start with stock speed and later overclock to 4.5gig, therefor I also need some help with cooling. Any other suggestion to this build is highly appreciated.

My setup:
CPU: i7 8700k
MoBo: MSI Krait gaming Z370
Memory: 16gig - Corsair Vengeance RGB CMR16GX4M2C3600C18 (any suggestion for non RGB which can lead to cheaper units)
PSU: Corsair CS650M
MAIN HDD: Crucial MX300 m.2 275GB
SEC HDD: 2x Seagate Barracuda, 2TB
Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-03 Orange Led
Fan's: Scythe Kaze Flex 120mm PWM 300-1200rpm
GFX: ? (out of budget)
CPU cooler's :
AIO: Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB
or
AIR: Noctua NH-U14S - Thermalright True Spirit 140 Power - Gelid Solutions Phantom - Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B

Thanks for help,

Without a GPU you will not be doing mutch gaming :)

Now I would think about swaping out the PSU to EVGA SUPERNOVA 650 P2 or CORSAIR RM650X (or even better if you can)

And you never wanna cheap out on the PSU since if it breaks... Your whole system can break. And it would be sad to save 20 - 50 bucks only to destroy a +1000 dollar build now would it not?

How much resolution will you want to play at + what settings? Because you would pretty much need a GPU depending on what settings and stuff you want I'd say.

Actually I'm new to PC gaming and I don't know what the common settings are. I use my pc mostly for programming and graphic editing stuff. I'm planning to play games when I'm finished with my school later this year.

With that budget, P2 and RMx is overkill, also 650 is overkill too.
Krait is notoriously poor quality. With that budget and your major usage, this is a more balanced build imo.

If you have the budget soon for gpu, go with a better mb like ASRock Extreme 4. 3200 ram is good enough.

I do not agree with you on that PSU part vapour.
I have no problem with swapping out parts like you did and could in fact be a smarter build over the 8700k build.
But to say a P2 or RMx is overkill.... come on... The one part that has the potential to fry a system.. I would get a high rated one that is "safe" Dont care about gold or titanium levels since that is not "important" for a regular user.
Sure the Corsair Vengeance 550m is a decent PSU with no real big flaws.
But when it comes to PSU and quality... No sutch things as overkill quality... Watts? yea there people can go overkill and that I will agree on. Quality no.

This is my opinion ofc and by no means correct.

My context is "With that budget", if money is unlimited or more, I may consider P2 but G2/G3 is already good enough. I believe in balancing build with limited budget.
