I found a guy on OfferUp selling a GTX 780TI for $130. The thing is he says it's been used in a render farm, will the GPU still be fine for gaming? It's the reference 780ti from NVIDIA.

It's old hardware and you'll never now its true condition until you try to use it. Even if it's fine right now it may develop stability issues in a month or two. PC parts especially GPUs usually have a 5 year hardware lifetime. The more heavily the are used (and that includes overclocking) the faster their electronic parts age. In your case if the seller is honest then it means that this GPU probably hasn't been overclocked and that's definitely a good thing but on the other hand you'll never know whether it's been working 24/7 for the last 4-5 years.

The price seems fair especially if we consider the recent GPU prices. Just make sure that he gives you the option of returning it in within a week or so if it proves to be defective...
The card is comparable to a GTX1060.
The $130 price is a bit low, it sells for $200 or more on ebay.

If it is functioning properly, it is a good deal.
But, I think I would pass.

I also am dubious about many selling sites.
Scams abound.
It has been running non stop for rendering so nobody knows how good it really is.

Finally keep in mind that you may need to clean it and reapply thermal paste if the seller hasn't ever done that. Good luck.
