I recently bought a Lapel Mic from Amazon.
It works (as in Picks up Sound) when connected to my Android Phone.
BUT, the phone detects it as a Headphone Mic Combo shown on the top of the screen.
Hence, the speakers don't work when the mic is connected on my phone.
Now, the mic is detected as a Mic on my PC (Windows 7 64) when connected to the Mic Port, but it doesn't pick up any sound. It only picks up static when inserted and removed from the jack.
I have tried everything from installing latest drivers to fiddling with the recording tab in Audio settings.
I would really like the mic to work on my PC. I got it replaced once from Amazon because it was having the same problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
