will this NVME M.2 SSD work with my motherboard?

The WD Black will fit in the motherboard, as it is the connector she on the end you have to worry about.

The board also has 2 M.2 slots so upgrading in the future is also possible if you need more space.

As for the actual drive this depends. M.2 drives use PCIe lanes to speed up their read/write speeds or use SATA, however for gaming this difference would be negligible in comparison to a SATA SSD, even though SATA III can be bottlenecked and most of the time is by an SSD. For less you could buy a 2.5” SATA SSD, such as a Crucial MX300. This is available in both 2.5” and M.2 if you still want to use M.2.

i only ask because my motherboard is very new and up to date or so to speak, and it has this thing called turbo m.2 or something intel optane so i was not sure, do you think the wd black i listed will fit and work? or should i not risk it?

EDIT: i only accept NVME speeds 2000 mbps
