How would GTX 960 run on an i3 - 540

I was wondering how gtx 960 would run on an i3 540

Would it be like 100% performance of a gtx 660?

What I want to say is what gpu at 100%, will match the performance of a bottlenecked gtx 960 on an i3 540

For a rough example, a full performance of a gtx 660 is matched with the bottlenecked performance of gtx 960 on i3 540 something like that.

I was planning on upgrading my gpu first and is planning on having a gtx 960, 12gb of ram and an i3 540.

I'm sorry I made a mistake, I am planning on buying a GTX 960. I don't have it yet with me and currently I'm using the integrated graphics of i3 - 540

Okay well I can't say for sure what percentage will bottleneck, all games are different so it would be different across the board. I would definitely consider a GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti, or GTX 960 if you find a good price. You might not use all the GPU on all games, but it would still be a great buy.

Maybe GTX 750 Ti if again you find a nice price. Avoid un-branded counterfeit Nvidia GPUs from China on eBay.

GTX 1050 would be the seemingly best choice for power efficiency and avoiding a PSU upgrade.
