Worth the upgrade?

Hello,

so I will get some money soon and wanted to upgrade my pc a bit more. I'm planing on getting a new GPU first and a CPU later, so I wanna know if the GTX 1080(TI) would be worth the Upgrade. I know the prices are shit right now, but I may find a used one.

My current specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600x
GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 6GB AMP
RAM: 16GB 3000MhZ
PSU: 600 WATT

What is the resolution and refresh rate of your monitor? At say 1080p 60hz getting a 1080 ti wont do anything for you as a 1060 can max most games or come close at 1080p 60fps.

If can make use of and find a 1080 ti at a reasonable price, which is going to be difficult even if it's used. Then yes it is a significant upgrade over the 1060.

Forgott to mention:
I probably will get a better monitor with 144hz yes.
In my country mining is not efficent and people sell them used on some sites for a normal price.
I will see what other people say too.

If your playing at 1080p 144mhz then a GTX 1070ti would do but buy more of a card if you wish.
