in my antec p50 i have two intake fans at front and two exhaust out the top. The rear of the case only has space for 80mm fans and air is entering the rear holes into the case as i have no fans there. should i get some rear fans for exhaust or not? my cpu temps are fine at 40-55.

or should i get better intake fans for more airflow so then air is forced out the back, please could i get recommendation for 120mm intake fans and 80mm exhaust fans. thanks

I think he's saying block it if you're worried about negative pressure and dust. But if you maintain positive pressure, I don't think that's an issue so wouldn't be needed.
If you don't know what to use to spin them up slightly faster, usually mobos provide utilities on their support page that let you control fans that plug into mobo. If there isn't one, try using SpeedFan.
As for molex fan, that's a bummer. But keep in mind that with 80mms, you'd have to spin it up pretty high for it to be really useful anyway. It's a question of how much a controlled one will be better but sure, you can always try it, they're not very expensive:

Well if you have two fans in front and two fans on top, you have pretty balanced intake/exhaust. You can use a fan utility to make sure the front fans are spinning slightly faster than top ones to insure that you maintain slightly positive pressure inside the case and therefore don't have air rushing in through the back.
This also applies if you're going to start up your 80mm fan in the back as that would tilt the flow of air in favour of exhaust and therefore create negative pressure. So you need to speed up the front fans. While I do like the front to back flow of air, and I think it would help with cooling of vrm at least, I hate the sound of 80mm fans, they drive me up the wall. However if that's not an issue for you then yes, you can certainly add one.
I thought p50 came with one 80mm fan installed though?

As for fans, just go something brand based as it will actually make a difference in both cooling efficiency and sound.
Noctua is highly regarded but expensive. Good brands are also Corsair, Thermaltake, BeQuiet!, Fractal Design, Cooler Master, Phanteks, Rosewill, Silverstone and others. If you wanted to pick just one I'd say go for corsair's sp120. For 80mm, this is an old review

but shows 80mms are mostly all equally terrible :D

Thanks for your reply, yes there is a 80mm fan included but it is quite loud and the speed cant be controlled as it goes into the psu. if i changed the front fans for noctua, should i get static pressure or airflow as there is a mesh at the front.

You can take the fan out of the psu and plug it into mobo, if it has a normal 3 pin connection like so http://www.allelectronics.com/mas_assets/cache/image/4/4/4/1092.Jpg (I'm assuming there's an adapter plugging it into molex connection to the PSU at some point so it may not be immediately obvious).
Static pressure if you're dealing with the mesh, though don't spend big money on just SP model if you can get an air flow one on the cheap. It won't be that staggering a difference. But if they're about the same in price, go SP.

unfortunately it is a molex fan, 13thmonkey above said to block the rear instead would this be beneficial as i still have the top exhaust or will temps be affected?

thanks, i guess i will block it for now and see if temps are affected, if so i will change speed of intake fans/buy some better case fans

If you block it then you prevent air being sucked in by the top fans, and not cooling anything on the way out. If you had positive pressure this would still happen because of the size of the hole.

For the 30s it'd take to modify the case try it, and see if the temps get worse or better. I'd argue that you'd have better flow around the GPU and past the CPU cooler, as you aren't wasting 'suction' sucking air that's not doing any work.

not 100% sure if temps are affected yet, seems to be the same temp. my top fans are exhausting air not sucking?

Sucking from inside to outside is exhausting.
