hey guys!
so tomorrow i'll be receiving an i5 3570 and i want to place it where my i5 2400 used to be.
im using an ASUS/P8B75-M motherboard and it can support both 3th and 2nd gen intel processors. right now my bios is :

BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 1701, 8/6/2014
SMBIOS Version 2.7
Embedded Controller Version 255.255
BIOS Mode Legacy

does anyone know if i need to take extra steps for the new processor to work with this specific motherboard?

thanks !

Solution
Works with BIOS version 0602 or higher.

I would just install it then reset CMOS and your ready to go.

ok so everything went alright with the bios.when i started up the computer,i received a message about cpu upgrade.the computer restarted,i used default settings.the tricky part was with windows 10.i had to reinstall it basically but that was it.(i belive it's common since i'm swapping the cpu generation).now everything seems alright(except the fact that i need to wait hours for windows update XD).thanks again guys! Edit: i forgot to set sata to ahci and it defaulted on ide.have to reinstall windows again....
