OC Tuner shut down?

I have an Asus A88X mobo with an A10 7700k CPU. I know it's not youngest setup, but these two could handle a lot of games in the last two years.
My problem is, that lately my PC suddenly shuts down every time in a while. I was thinking it might be the overheat of the CPU. It indeed went over 65 C while gaming so I bought a coolermaster fan and it solved the heat issue.
The sudden shut-down appeared again. When I had this during watching movie, I was suspecting that it was something else, not overheating. and apparently it wasn't bc of the heat. Right after the shut-down the temperature was like 45 C or something.
Last week I got a motherboard notification about the unstable PSU ( anti-surge). So I checked and rejoined the cables, and cleaned the PSU just in case. Didn't buy a new one yet.
So today I check the overclocking , set it back to 3.6Ghz for the standard value in BIOS, then I found the OC tuner option . Never heard of it, so I gave it a try.
in the very moment as I clicked on the OC tuner, the PC shut down immediately.
In theory the PSU should handle 500 W, but also I'm awared that this PSU is not best ( Approx 500)
So what could it be? Why does my PC got down?
Thanks

If you are running at stock and it works you can either leave it alone. As for choosing a PSU i personal go with Platinum which has a very high efficiency for example if you take 2 500 watt power supplys one is platinum rated the other is only 80+. The 80+isnt going to work as well. I like Seasonic

What is you complete set up? My first guess its the PSU. If you are doing overclocking i would recommend a better PSU like a gold or platinum. Your PSU cant convert the power fast enough to supply the overclock. I never you any auto overclock. Thats not to say you would have the same issue if you manual OCed

besides the mobo, PSU and CPU, there's a 2x4gb ddr kingston with 2166 mhz, and a gtx 750ti 2 gb card. No optical driver or ssd just a hdd sata3.
What is important when choosing a PSU besides the maximum watt capacity? As I mentioned it's a 500 w piece.
