Hey, recently I bought Acer Aspire 5 Laptip which has a SATA M.2 Slot and I am gonna get an SSD.I Know that it will support SATA SSDs but I am skeptical whether Samsung's 960 evo will work on it or not which is NVME and also if it would work then whether is the speed going to be capped on it, If yes then by how much, I have seen Dave lee's (youtube) review on this laptop and there he told that PCIe SSD won't worked for him and on Acer Community I have seen a guy telling it would work. So I am in need of a detailed explanation as I am Confused. Thank you

Here is a rather "dumb answer". I have upgraded about 20 NEW and older laptops to SSD drives. My impression is that the drive you have is a high performance drive using a different connector. The drives I have typically used are Sandisk SATA drives that plug into the same place that the old drive was. Since U have a SATAM2 extra slot, why not just get a SATA card/drive? Is the extra speed and cost worth it?
