Hello all,

So a few weeks ago I physically built my first computer and have been troubleshooting it ever since. I am getting no signal on my monitor.

The first issue came with the RAM. The original RAM I bought was not compatible with my motherboard; the RAM I currently have is.

The second issue revolves around adaptors involving video output to my monitors. I have two different monitors; one had a VGA port, and the other has a VGA port as well as a DVI port. The motherboard has a DVI and a HDMI port. My GPU also has a DVI and a HDMI port.
I bought two different types of video adapters but still get no signal. One is a HDMI to VGA Video Active Adaptor; the other is a HDMI to VGA converter Adaptor.

There are also no beep codes from my motherboard. I bought a POST speaker but have found no place to attach it.

Here are my Specs:
Motherboard: BIOSTAR B350GT5 AM4 AMD B350 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX Motherboards - AMD

Processor: AMD RYZEN 3 1200 4-Core 3.1 GHz (3.4 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 65W YD1200BBAEBOX Desktop Processor

GPU:MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti DirectX 12 GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready ATX Video Card

SSD:Silicon Power Slim S60 2.5" 60GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SP060GBSS3S60S25AE

Ram: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB (1 x 8G) DDR4 2400 Desktop Memory DIMM (288-Pin) RAM HX424C15FB2/8

Any help is appreciated!

Sorry for the late response, but have you tried taking the video card out and then plugging into the motherboard. Also, there are 2 power connectors to the motherboard. Are they both plugged in? one is for the cpu and one is for the rest of the motherboard stuff. Also make sure that they are fully clicked in, that was a common problem for me when i first started out.

Maybe a stupid question but, you are plugging into your video card's video outputs correct? You also mention that you are using two monitors, am I correct to believe that one of the monitors is receiving video while the other is not?

Thanks for the quick reply.

My goal is for my monitors to get a picture on one of them; I plan on just using one. I have two different ones to test different cord combinations; they both get no signal.

I have also tried plugging directly into my GPU and motherboard in almost endless combinations with both DVI and VGA cords and adapters.

Interesting.

First thing, if you take your motherboard out and plug directly int the motherboard for video what happens.

Secondly, have you plugged in the 6-pin connector on the top of your power supply?

and Lastly, what power supply do you have and do you know the wattage and 80+ certification?

When I plug in the DVI cord into the motherboard it states "no signal". It also says no signal with the active HDMI to VGA adapter. With the nonactive adapter nothing on the screen pops up which is strange...

All of the fans are on and all of the LEDs are on. I have plugged in the 6-pin connector.

The wattage on my Power supply is 430-Watt, I see no form of certification.
