I turned my PC on after it being off for two weeks and it worked before the break, and now it will turn on and gives the impression its booting up but nothing ever happens. The screen just stays black and says there is no signal.

  • CPU - Ryzen 1600
Motherboard - MSI B350 PC Mate
    RAM - Corsair 2100 MHz DDR4
    PSU - Corsair 750 CX

Solution
Question, did you use the same display cable for both monitors? If so, try a different cable if you have one handy.
Could be a faulty one. If it's not that, then try resetting the BIOS settings. To do this, firstly remove the power cord from the PSU, then use a small flat bladed screwdriver to remove the round battery from the motherboard, leave it out for 15-20 mins, put it back in (with the plus sign facing the outwards), re-plug the power cord, and turn on the computer.

Reinforce the display cable on both ends, maybe it's slightly loose.
Other than that, you could try a different monitor (if you have one), or alternatively, try connecting it to your TV using an HDMI cable.

True, but I think it'd be best if he'd rule out the monitor first before looking into internal components issues

I've tried both my monitors on their own and together, no luck on that front. I've tried both my sticks of RAM on their own and nothing there. I've also tried a different PSU and GPU, just in case too. This problem has me genuinely puzzled, I'm used to having very obvious problems with my PC parts haha

Erm yes and no, one of my monitors is hdmi and the other is dvi. When you say the plus sign facing outwards, do you mean towards the outside of the case, towards me or?

Question, when you've switched the PSU, did you remember to attach the CPU power plug (4/8 PIN) to the motherboard?
Also, just to verify, the power cord was disconnected (while the battery was out), right? Because it wouldn't work otherwise.
Anyways, you could try removing the front panel power cable from the motherboard, and turn it on with a flat bladed screwdriver instead (just short both of the pins it connects to)

Ye I reconnected all the cables when I switched PSU, and yes the power cord was disconnected when I had the battery out. What would turning it on with the flat bed screwdriver do?

Just to be safe, I took out the battery again for about an hour and also discord the cable from the PSU aswell as the cables to the Mobo. And low and behold, it turned on. I'm not sure what the problem was, but thanks a bunch dude for helping me fix it. I thought I was gonna have to send stuff back. THanks a million ^^
