we will be renting a cottage that has free wifi. We are 300 feet away from the lounge signal and can't reach the signal from the cabin. I can reach the password page but when I put the password in there is no connection. Any help beside walking to the lounge to use my computer? Thanks

ubiquiti and engenius sell many models. The main concern would be if you need one at 2.4g or 5g to match the main lodge connection. These devices primarily convert ethernet to wifi so you would need a small router/ap inside if you wanted wifi.
Depends why you do not get enough signal. Things like lots of trees or maybe buildings between you and the wifi source tend to absorb the signal.

Since this is very temporary your options are limited. You could try a outdoor directional wifi bridge maybe in a window. Even if you could install the bridge properly outside it still needs a clear path to the radio source and many times if the signal is not strong enough outside you need a direction antenna on the other end also.

the cabin is a clear shot to the lodge with only a few trees around it. I can pick up the lodge name and sign in but signal is week and can't connect. The other resort near our cabin is surrounded by trees and I could pick up the their signal but their password is for their tenants only.
