After happily unboxing my computer upgrades and getting everything together. I quickly noted the fact my new cpu (i7-8700k) was idle temping and a insane 99C. I firstly checked if my cables were in the correct place and all were where they were supost to be on the cooler. I also noticed that the corsair LINK application was not registering my H80I V2. I crawled through the forms for a long while and have had no success with anything. Still no pump running, the computer it's self doesn't recognize is either. It showing up as a "Unknown USB device(device descriptor request failed)" I plugged it into the only two internal USB slots my mobo has and it still only shows up as the same. Any suggestions would be great, I really dont want to have to RMA it :/
Edit, I not fully sure it the pump is dead I have inferred that it probably isn't running when cpu_fan speed shows up as 0 and when I testing It I could hear nor feel anything turn on inside of the pump.
SUPER EDIT: Im retarded, and didnt bother to look up weather a i7-8700k runs hot or not, and after reapplying TP i managed to get a idle at 60-65. Witch from what i understand for this six core is pretty good. I many be wrong as this is my first time upgrading.
