So, I had the two RAM sticks in my pc and every thing was working fine. I could run multiple programs at once, and games played great. And then a couple of days ago I noticed that my pc specs said I was only running 8GB of RAM. After looking online, I read that I should open msconfig and turn on max memory. This is where I went wrong. When I clicked the box I did not fill in a number and left it on 0. When I restarted my computer it wouldn't boot at all, I was getting a stopcode error. After a while I was able to reset my system to a previous update (3 days earlier), and it booted up. At this point it was running so slow that I had to wait 30 seconds for each letter to type as I tried to get back to msconfig. So then I turned off max memory and restarted my pc. It booted normally and now showed that I had 16GB of RAM! After all that my computer runs extremely slow ( games are unplayable) when I have two programs running i.e. dicord and a game. The games run okay when I'm not using discord, but not as well as they used to. The RAM sticks were purchased together and there are the same exact product. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
