Hello!

I built a new computer, and praise the Lord it works. The only issue that I've run into is setting my memory to its native 2666 speed. When I go into the BIOS and look under memory, the RAM is grayed out at 2133. I was thinking that the 2666 was default recognized by the Gaming 5 board as it is listed as non-OC on the board's page.

My question is: what do I need to do to get it up to 2666 speed? I'm not familiar with XMP profiles or manually setting things. So I appreciate your thorough explanations or how-to's. Also, is it "overclocking" if I manually set the RAM to it's native speed?

Thank you!

Here's my ram. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B013J7LQYO/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Solution
Just turn on XMP in BIOS. DDR4 defaults to 2133MHz and everything above that is considered OC. XMP (eXtreme Memory profile) is just a set of instructions for BIOS to set specified OC settings. Check MB's manual for that.
