I just bought a Gigabyte nvidia gt 1030 OC (With the big fan not the lp one)
When i'm just surfin the internet the fan speed is running at 41% 1304rpm
but the temp is low 25c
The qustion is : is that fan speed normal ?

Some cards switch the fans off while idle, that is called a semi-passive mode. Some let the fans spin on low speed. It seems your card does so, and that is normal.
You can tweak fan speeds with the gigabyte utility if it disturbs you.

That's total overkill on the fan, though maybe 40% is the default LOWEST setting?

As said you can setup your own fan setting.

Not sure if you have the option to DISABLE it, however the THROTTLE point that Pascal usually is set to is 82degC. Basically setup a suitable fan profile of dropping the fan to its LOWEST SPEED and ramp accordingly.

*use a benchmark like Unigine Heaven or similar running for several minutes to set the ramp curve. Maybe set LOWEST RAMP until roughly 60degC then start ramping up and set the MAX RPM at whatever keeps the temp below roughly 80degC.

I suspect your cooling is such that even 40% max RPM may be sufficient for that but you'll see.

(and if you can disable then just adjust the ramp accordingly such as 0RPM until 60degC then jump to lowest RPM and ramp up.

and btw thanks sooo much for your time <3

i don't want to play with the gpu's settings since i'm just a noob .. but just want to know if 1304rpm is normal or not
Thanks soooooo much for you answer and help <3

That's probably normal. MSI AB can show you your fan curve.

is mine. Instead of it the fans spinning at 40% as soon as it's started I changed it so that it's at 49% as soon as MSI AB is started. You could instead reduce the fan speed. I then have a fairly aggressive curve

so that by the time the temp. gets to 53C the fans are at 68% of their full power. Some can find a happy medium of fan speed noise and cooling. Others don't mind their GPU a little warmer and their fans a little slower and quieter. GPU Boost 3.0 likes a relatively cool card.
