I read about maybe having some safety settings on but I can't find any in Bios that would limit my amount of voltage. I have LLC on high, can run stable at 4.6ghz on an i7-6700k, gigabyte z270p 1.3v. I'm only getting a max temp of about 55c with prime95 stress test on max heat test, really want to hit 5ghz at 1.35-1.4. If i type in 1.35v in bios it gets set to "Auto". Thanks and tell me if I'm in over my head. Latest bios btw

Not all chips can hit 5.0ghz. That said, use the plus minus signs to move the vcore up or down. Don't hit enter. You mb does not have a locked vcore. Do not take the voltage higher then 1.4. If your at 4.6ghz on 1.3v it is highly unlikely that you will be able to hit 5ghz without going over 1.4v. Since this is highly unadvised and there is a very good chance your chip can not reach it anyway. I would strongly advise against trying.

Sadly it does, I've called Gigabyte support to confirm. It's one of the reasons i'll be leaving gigabyte for asus. Anything higher than 1.3 and it defaults to auto. Also managed to get 4.7ghz on 1.3v. I think I have a good chip.
