I have recently been having trouble with my Samsung PM961 M.2 drive.
I was on Windows 10 Version 1703 and it would not update past that, it would blue screen every time and give the error: 0xc00000bb.
I contacted Microsoft support and they pointed the finger at Samsung for not releasing drivers for that model of M.2.
I then contacted Samsung which pointed the finger and Microsoft for not supporting that drive.
I contacted a Samsung specialist which told me I am unable to update due to the lack of drivers.
I decided to purchase a 960 EVO M.2 drive as I saw they had drivers and I was told that drive would work by the Samsung specialist.
I reinstalled Windows 10 and I came to the same version as my previous M.2 drive and the same thing happens, it blue screens with the error 0xc00000bb whenever I try to update past 1703.
I tried to contact both supports again however both were of no help.
I do not know what is causing the issue, could the issue be my Windows 10 USB installer or is it with the Samsung drives themselves?
I am not sure if Installing Windows 7 and then updating to Windows 10 would work or that maybe making a new USB Windows 10 installer could be the issue.
I now have two M.2 devices ruining my system with the constant update reminders.
