My pc was not turning on, so I decided to breadboard it. As you can see, the lights for the motherboard are on meaning that it should turn on. However, when I press the start button the motherboard does not turn on. I tried shorting the two pins (not sure which but I tried all) with a metal screw driver but it still did not turn on, any suggestions? Thanks.

Solution
Put the cpu cooler on!!!!!!!!!! plug in the cooler fan, install one stick of memory, push the CMOS clear button at the bottom of the board, upper right hand push the reset button, make sure the power supply is switched on, push the mem OK button upper right side, push the start button upper right side.

thanks for the info I really needed it :). I know that some systems require a cpu fan to start. The problem is that I goofed up and threw my stock away when I bought my liquid cooling.

I will get a stock cooler tmrw. And notify you what happens..

You can puut the water cooler on it no need to buy a stock one.
Never start a PC without a cooler on the processor.
