Hello all, heres my problem...I had a msi gtx970 and it worked just fine with my rift. A friend sold me a asus 1070 for a great deal brand new...however it's given me some hardship with the rift. Everything from hdmi not connected to rift goes black while still tracking. Through weeks of dealing with oculus to buying new cable for rift countless hrs of troubleshooting. Here's my thought- with some questions...I still have the 970. Can I put the 970 back in w/the 1070 and just plug my monitor and rift into the 970 when I want to play vr and go back to the 1070 for everything else. I don't want to link the cards I just want to play vr and it work on occasion. Thanks for any and all information you guys/gals give me.

Thank you for the response.I have a 500w psu. I have not tried a reinstall of drivers on the gpu...I will give that a go in the next few hours once I'm home and post the outcome. Thanks again.

Well that unfortunately did not do the trick. I have tried just about every possible solution that I have heard of and come across. I will say at one point I switched to a hdmi to display port adapter and that did the trick for a total of maybe 10-15 hrs of play and then it stared blanking out. So back to my "drawing board" ...is it possible and if so how do I go about alternating cards? Thanks again.
