I am planning on purchasing this within the next couple hours so based on what you've seen do you think this build will work and be fairly easy to put together? This is my first build and so I am kinda scared i'll mess something up. Also any tips for a first time builder would be nice :D.

This is the completed build on partpicker: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/AbdulMaha/saved/nTV9WZ

There is nothing to upgrade with 3rd gen platform. I will add a little and get this:

I am planning on creating a gaming pc which I will update in the future. The seller I am purchasing the mobo off has told me it is fully updated and will support the 3rd gen ivybridge so it'll support my cpu. I have found different sellers for all these parts and can get it all for roughly £250 and yes I am in the uk. I already own the gt 1050 ti and so thats not part of the cost. Also I am planning on using an adapter for the usb 3.0 to make it work (the usb 3.0 to 2.0 adapter) so it'll run at a lower speed but still work.

You are getting a 6 year old motherboard and CPU, so I don't see an upgrade path in the future.

If the mobo BIOS was updated to v1301 or higher, it will support the CPU. If you think you are getting a good deal then by all means go ahead.

The ryzen 3 set up was something I looked at but its too expensive for me to do right now. I was planning on upgrading the mobo+cpu+gpu in roughly a year and a half or so thats why I am not too fused. Do you think this set up would run current games though like fortnite, gta v etc? I'm not trying to play at ultra settings or anything I just want to play at 1920x1080 and at medium settings. Also any tips for a new builder?

Thanks
