Hi, I had finished PC build a few months ago. I'm wondering out of my parts which I should upgrade. My PC is for 1080p gaming and some 3d modeling & rendering. I also use it to edit videos and stream to Twitch or YouTube. I also like to play around with overclocking.
Parts List:
CPU: Intel Core I7 6700k (OC 4.6 GHz)

CPU Cooler: Corsair H50 liquid cooler

Mobo: MSI XPower gaming z170A Titanium Edition

Memory: 16 GB of DDR4 3000 MHz Corsair Vengeance LED

Storage: 120 GB Samsung 840 series SSD (Boot Drive) & Seagate Barricuda 1TB Hard Drive

Video Card: MSI GTX 1060 6GB Twin Frozr

Monitors: 2 Asus VG245H 1ms response time 75 Hz gaming monitors

PSU: Seasonic 520W 80+ Bronze certified fully modular

Keyboard & Mouse: Corsair K70 LUX RGB & Corsair Glaive modular mouse.

I have about $300 CAD ($236 USD) to spend on an upgrade/addition. What would benefit me the most for my needs?

Solution
best processor for that mobo is i7-7700k. absolutely no reason to upgrade from the i7-6700k. processor is going to be a good factor for your use, but unless you are ready for a mobo change and possibly os purchase, keep it the way it is.

Ram may be low depending on how large you are rendering. if you are not hitting 16gb, no reason to upgrade. just monitor it next time you open a more complex one. if you are over 14gb, consider adding another 16gb.

gpu may be the best upgrade option in this case, but you wont be upgrading one for $236.

i cant see an issue with the specs you have or anything worth upgrading. is it really that bad? are you having any kinds of issues?

I have about 40 GB left on my SSD still, it's enough for me now at the moment. Do you think it would be worth adding a 500 GB M.2 SSD, that way I could run most of my games off of that and it would quicken things up a good amount I'd imagine.

I'm not huge into rendering so I won't be rendering large scenes and the things that I have rendered so far have not been limited by my RAM at all. I don't necessarily want to upgrade but I was just wondering if anything would be worth upgrading. I would also like to hear some incite on whether or not I should add something to my PC as well. Currently I am not experiencing any problems with my PC at all.

You could do that and many people do. I just don't see the reason behind it. One large SSD should be enough for both the OS and any installed programs/games.

No upgrade will be worth the money for you at this point in my opinion. Like Wolf said, a large SSD is an option. it will help large games and 3d models to load faster, but you wont experience any difference in fps or with the models once they have fully loaded into your ram. It is nice not waiting at loading screens, but not worth an upgrade.
