Hello I currently Have 5 out of the 8 SATA connectors on my motherboard in use (plus 1 m.2 slot) and when I went to add my Seagate 10TB Ironwolf HDD into the 6th SATA connector, my BIOS would not detect the drive. The Seagate drive starts up fine (I can hear it and feel it), same with the other drives in my system. But the Seagate drive is the only one that will not be detected by the BIOS. I already tried updating my BIOS to the latest version and tried different SATA connectors but no luck. I also plugged the drive into a SATA to USB 3.0 converter and Windows 10 was able to detect that no problem.

The drive works just fine when used with a SATA to USB 3.0 adapter, full speeds and everything. I would assume the connection from the drive to the motherboard should work too.

Sorry, didn't see that part.
Anyhow, when you say you've tried "different" sata connectors, do you mean motherboard ports, power cable, data cable, or all 3?
Try disconnecting the power/data cables of a working drive, and hook em up to this one. Could be a faulty port.

I have tried different SATA ports on the motherboard, cables (both older and newer ones), power connectors (both in a chain link and on its own), and I have plugged it into other SATA ports that I know work (because they are currently working with my other drives). The manual of the motherboard does say that a SATA port will be disabled when an m.2 drive is in use. Not sure if that is related with my current situation. I do have one m.2 drive in use at the moment.
