My ISP is SudenLink I have a TM822 ARRIS modem and a NetGear Night Hawk R7000 Router, My internet speed hits the desired note when I plug directly into the modem, but when I use the router sometimes its amazing as it should be but for 3-7 straight days randomly it will be down to 0.3 MB/s (should be around 12-15 MB/s. I replaced the router thinking that was the issue (I dont remember what Router it was, just some old linksys one). Do I need to replace the modem as well, change router settings or just call my ISP with an angry tone.
I really dont know what info I need to leave for a vague question like this but let me know and I will try to get it.

Have you tried another known working Ethernet cable - Cat 5e or better? A defective cable (or wall port, patch connection, etc. for that matter) to cause performance drops.

What other devices are connected to your network?

Could also be that all is okay and working until some other device joins your network. If that device has a static IP address that duplicates some assigned DHCP address then network performance will drop.

Check the IP addresses on all network devices.

And do not call your ISP with an "angry tone"... You will get far more help by being polite and working with them. The person you speak with can only do so much.

Especially if your network speeds are okay via the modem by itself. Problems before then are...

Focus on narrowing down the possibilities to the point where the problem is clearly ISP related. At this time, I would not expect that the ISP is the reason.
