I've recently bought components for my first PC build. One of which is an AMD FX 8370 CPU and a Asus Strix GTX 1060 GPU... Because It was my first time building a computer, I didn't really know that the FX series of AMD chips are outdated. I've been getting 60-100 fps on games that I should be getting 120 fps and up. Does that mean my CPU is bottenecking my GPU? And if so... What AMD chip would you recommend for me to upgrade so that I can get the full use of my 1060?

You are probably experiencing some bottleneck on some games. There is not upgrade for you unless you upgrade CPU/Motherboard/RAM.

You should have went with Ryzen 3 1200 if you wanted a budget option. But if you're swapping I'd save for something better.

My brother in fact has a 1060 and a 8350 and there IS A BOTTLENECK. However, it all depends on what you will be playing... my brother just plays casual games like rocket league but if you are wanting to play intensive games like The witcher or ghost recon wildlands, there will definitely be a bottleneck.
