Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if i can use 2x G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (1x16GB) 3200MHz DDR4 RAM - Black.

The reason being it is about 120 bucks cheaper then purchasing the trident z version. The rams are identical and are being ordered at the same time from the company.

I also spoke with the IT technitian and asked him if it will be bad and he stated that that will run benchmarks to make sure the ram is working perfectly and if not, will change it.

As i am not highly knowledgble in this feild. what are yout thoughts? also i will be there during the setup of the new PC, so the benchmarks will be done in front of me. What should i look out for?

Thanks alot peeps

To my best knowledge, You Should always use Ram sticks of the same frequency or speed, size (GB) [ basically the ratings on the ram sticks should match ] and company to get the best results and a stable PC. Buy you can still mix the company and sizes but I guess all the ram's should be of the same speed or your pc may not work or the rams will work at the lowest speed of any ram stick which has that lowest speed. I have 4 sticks installed in my pc, all have same size and speed but 3 are of Kingston and one is of transcend. So far no problems over the years. hope this helps.
