In our organisation we use Microsoft exchange server now we are planing to move to Office 365, it have online exchange server.
So do we need the local exchange server any more if we move to Office 365 ?

Solution

No, you don't need your local exchange server anymore.
That's one of the "benefits" of Office 356. It all exists online, and MS manages it.
The "downside" is that it all exists online, so if your internet connection goes down, or is just slow...you can't do anything.

Thank you for your quick reply.

You may want to consider buying a second internet connection. It would be best if it was from a different ISP and used different technology to deliver it. It would not have to be all that fast since it would only be used for critical things like email when the main was down. Although it likely will not be needed very often you have to look at the cost of the business being down. If you can tolerate some down time it maybe enough to just come up with a clear procedure to implement a mobile broadband connection using a cell phone. You would need to practice this so you know all the issues before you really need it.
